Baymont by Wyndham Cortez

We had stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and loved it. The previous time (Oct. 2022), we stayed four nights and visited Monument Valley Navajo Park, Mesa Verde National Park, Canyonlands, Arches National Park and many other wonderful attractions. We even went to Telluride, in Colorado, from there. This hotel is in a perfect location for this kind of travel. Then, and more recently, the room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The breakfast was also great. The indoor swimming pool is in a great courtyard (although we didn't use it, everyone was having a great time there). The staff was very friendly and attentive. We will stay at this hotel again whenever we are in Cortez, CO. Cortez is a small town and people are super friendly!

We really enjoyed it. It was actually not the hotel that we were seeking to stay at. But we got a reasonable price and figured it was just for one night. We really enjoyed it. They gave us a room with a view of the distant mountains when we requested it. My son enjoyed swimming in the pool (and riding the elevator up to our room. We liked having the outdoor hallway (suprisingly) where we could park and see our car. The room was comfortable, clean, and had a lot of light from the outside. We couldn't hear anyone else in the hotel from our room. The staff was kind. The big breakfast room was awesome and it was our favorite breakfast of our entire trip! We want to go back when we go to Mesa Verde again.

Breakfast was great, staff was excellent, the rooms were very clean, parking provided easy access to the rooms, checking/out was very easy.

Motorcycling across country from Richmond, Virginia to the Grand Canyon, we've stayed in a different place each night. Baymont by Wyndham in Cortez checks all the boxes for 5 stars, for me...clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, great location, beautiful pool area with awesome mature tropical plants. They seem to be fully staffed and everyone is friendly. The reason I can't give it all five stars, is because our room smelled of heavy smoke. They were very kind and offered some Febreze, and even offered to give us another room, but we'd been on the road all day and were exhausted. Being ex-smokers, albeit many years ago, we decided to live with. We actually slept very well. So yea, great place except for that smokey aroma.
